Frequently asked questions

What does "SCADA-like early warning" mean?

Your SCADA raises an alarm when a limit is crossed. Our early-warning layer watches the same operational signals with AI models and flags the slow drifts and unusual patterns that come before the limit is crossed, often hours or days earlier. It presents warnings the way operators already think: per asset, ranked by risk, with the reasoning attached.

Do you replace SCADA or EMS systems?

No. We sit alongside your SCADA, EMS and historians as an analytics and decision-support layer. Your existing systems keep doing what they do; we read their data and add foresight on top.

Does the system control equipment on its own?

No, and by design it never will. U2 AI Energy is advisory: it raises warnings, prepares forecasts and drafts recommendations, and every action waits for a human decision. It is not a protection system and not a substitute for safety instrumented systems.

What data do you need?

Whatever you already collect: historian exports, SCADA and EMS data, meter readings, maintenance logs, weather feeds. We connect read-only, using standard interfaces or plain file exports, and start with the signals that matter for your first use case.

Which forecasts do you cover?

Load, generation and consumption forecasting are the core, including renewables profiles. All models live in one managed registry: versioned, monitored against actuals, and compared so you always know which model is winning and why.

How is this different from the alarms we already have?

Alarms are reactive thresholds: they tell you what just went wrong. Early warnings are learned baselines: they tell you what is drifting away from normal and how fast. The two work together; ours simply buys your team time.

U2 AI Energy is a venture of U2 AI Studio Teknoloji A.Ş., based in Ankara, Türkiye: a multidisciplinary team of AI and software engineers building AI products across several domains, from carbon accounting to defence simulation.
